“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and

praise his name”  Psalm 100:4

Dear friends,

JPGRENNIEHow easy it is for us to complain, isn’t it? It seems that there is so much negativity in our world today. It can really be a “downer.”

Imagine my delight when I opened Facebook the other day to see a post from a young man from my home church challenging his Facebook friends to post each day until Thanksgiving something for which we are thankful! These first few days have been easy: I’m thankful for my family; I’m thankful for my many wonderful friends; I’m thankful for my church family; I’m thankful for my good health; I’m thankful for my 90 year-old mother; . . . . I am wondering what I’ll be thankful for on November 24 and November 25. Will I run out of things? Will I still have many things for which I will be thankful? I wonder?

I issue the challenge to you. Beginning with today, November 10, through Thanksgiving, November 26, write down one thing each day for which you are thankful. Maybe, just maybe, we will all realize how much we have and how much we may thank God for daily!

I pray that this time of thanksgiving is a true blessing for you and your family.

In Christ’s love,
Rennie
